Kathryn Linich

Katy Linich, PhD, LPC has practiced as a counselor since 2016. She has her masters degree in Counselor Education with an emphasis in Marriage, Couples, and Family Counseling. She got her PhD in Counselor Education in 2021, and works as a professor full time while doing counseling part time. She has worked with all populations but approaches all clients from a systemic perspective. We are all shaped by the families and environments we grow up in, and those patterns have an impact on our relationships with ourselves and others as we grow. Katy tries to create a space where you will feel safe discussing topics that may be hard for you. She believes in validating the experience of every client while still encouraging accountability for recognizing the things one does and does not have control over. Katy will work with you to set goals and move toward them using an experiential/existential and emotion-focused integrated approach. You will be in the driver's seat, and she will be your GPS; you have to drive the car and make the turns, but if you tell her where you want to go she will help you get there, even if you have to recalculate the route a couple of times!
